What: Red Fruit, Black Fruit: Wine Tasting & Workshop

Red Fruit, Black Fruit: Fruit characteristics in Wine
Raspberries, cherries, blackcurrants. You’d think with descriptors like these, wine should be infused with a variety of fruit. Learn how to pick out the aromas and flavours of wine so you can read wine labels and wine reviews for smarter wine buying, and of course, wine pleasure! Leave inspired and content after a tasting of good wines and a bit of knowledge so you can describe the wines yourself.
We’ll sniff and taste some “red fruit” and “black fruit”. Then we’ll swirl, sniff, and sip a flight of wines that are described to have the same fruit characteristics. Then you can tell me how strange or fitting they are as you learn to create your own tasting notes to make educated wine choices! We’ll finish the eve with the sheen of wine still lingering on your palate with more wine sipping accompanied by a few small bites.
This is the first of four mini Wine Appreciation Tastings/Workshops over four Wednesday evenings this October. Come to one or come to them all! Come on your own or come with a friend. Be assured, you’ll multiply the pleasure factor in your life while meeting other wine lovers in this small, social and casual tasting. (Max 10 participants)
