What: Bubblies! Wine Tasting & Workshop

When: Wednesday, October 10, 2012 7PM

Yes, it’s true. Sparkling wines are not created equal and they correspond in price because of this. But you don’t need to spend a small fortune to celebrate say, showing up for work on a Wednesday morn. Because sometimes, showing up is worth celebrating!

As we sip through a flight of bubblies and nibble on small bites, you’ll learn about the different methods used to make sparkling wine so you know how to choose for the occasion and your budget. We’ll go over sweetness/dryness in wines: Ones and Zeros, Off Dry, Demi-Sec, Doux, Frizzante, Spumonte… All the language used in the bubblies available in Vancouver. Heck, I’ll even have a handout. Then you tell me, if you want to spend $85, $29 or $15 on that bottle of bubbly.

This is the second of four mini Wine Appreciation Tastings/Workshops over four Wednesday evenings this October. Come to one or come to them all! Come on your own or come with a friend. Be assured, you’ll multiply the pleasure factor in your life while meeting other wine lovers in this small, social and casual tasting. (10 participants)

*This tasting will take place around a beautiful teak table with Riedel glasses at a private home in central Vancouver, a short walk from Skytrain, Transit hub. Exact Address and directions to be sent out to registered participants a week before the tasting. *No refunds. *If new or unknown to culinaryadventures.co, Welcome! You’ll be asked to provide a short blurb about yourself.
